StorMagic offers two distinct software products: StorMagic SvSAN and StorMagic SvKMS. Below is a summary of information relating to StorMagic’s products and product options.

Licenses are available in four capacity levels:
The licensed usable capacity can be increased to a higher capacity level at any time. However, it is not possible to reduce capacity to a lower level. SvSAN is sold as either a perpetual or subscription license. Each license contains one license key, with one key needed per server in a cluster. For example, a 2-node SvSAN configuration requires two licenses (two keys). |

SvSAN perpetual license purchases do not include maintenance and support. A separate maintenance and support contract must be purchased alongside SvSAN licenses. Maintenance and support contracts can be purchased for 1, 3 or 5 year terms. | Editions | Essentials Edition | Essentials Edition is only available as a KMaaS license and is designed for IT and Security Administrators at smaller companies who want to take advantage of built-in encryption for a limited number of use cases or who require only a limited number of keys.
Keys are added as required for an additional charge. It is limited to 50 keys and a single encryption use case. Features unavailable in KMaaS Essentials Edition are the REST API, BYOK and KMIP, HSM extension, TPM protection, custom key import and single sign on. |
| Professional Edition | Professional Edition is available as both an SvKMS or KMaaS license and is designed for IT and Security Administrators who need a key manager for a limited number of use cases, which might expand as time goes on.
The SvKMS Professional node subscription includes 50 keys and has a limit of 250 keys. The KMaaS Professional Edition is limited to 250 keys and five encryption use cases. Features unavailable in SvKMS and KMaaS Professional Edition are HSM extension and TPM protection. |
