SvSAN with Data Encryption brings FIPS 140-2 compliant encryption to the edge, for 85% less than competitors. But, we don’t do it all ourselves and we partner with some of the world’s leaders in the security space. On the key management side, we’ve already announced that we are working with Key Management System (KMS) suppliers Fornetix and Hytrust.

Just this week, we’ve announced that we have selected Cryptsoft, a privately held Australian company – which operates worldwide in the enterprise key management security market, to deliver the Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) technologies within SvSAN.

Speaking about the new partnership, StorMagic CEO, Hans O’Sullivan said “Cryptsoft is a key part of StorMagic’s SvSAN Data Encryption solution for edge computing. Encrypting data in hyperconverged solutions is critical for these environments because they typically don’t have a secure datacenter to depend on. Cryptsoft’s KMIP SDK has made it easy for us to integrate with the industry’s leading key management providers.”

“StorMagic’s customers need to be able to leverage a broad mix of existing in house and onsite key management systems (KMS) from a wide range of vendors that offer varying levels of KMIP standard compliance,” said Marc Briceno, VP Sales, Cryptsoft. “Our deep expertise and proven interoperability with all commercial KMIP based KMS in the marketplace, commercial or governmental, allows StorMagic and their end users to be confident that their innovative SvSAN and hyperconverged products will cleanly interoperate with every KMS they might encounter in their environment.”
