The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Hyperconverged Infrastructure is the most reliable, comprehensive market research report within the industry. This week, StorMagic celebrates recognition as a Niche Player in the report, for a second year, in the 2019 Magic Quadrant.

Our product, SvSAN is specifically designed to reduce complexity and costs for edge sites. Our two-node solution is tailored to fit where datacenter solutions don’t and so our Niche Player designation is a perfect fit for us. It is a badge we wear with pride.

The report noted how the solution – which is designed to enable high availability on the lightest possible footprint, at the lowest possible cost – was perfect for retail stores, edge locations, manufacturing facilities, hotels, airports and anywhere that requires onsite processing and storage of data for mission-critical applications.

In the report, Gartner outlined SvSAN’s main strengths as the way that it made remote and edge sites easy to manage, and how it enabled high availability for less than $10,000 per site (inclusive of hardware, software and maintenance). The report also recognised that SvSAN has a resource-efficient software design that minimizes compute, memory, storage and network requirements, and it hardware agnostic and support dissimilar HCI nodes, allowing customers to avoid vendor lock-in.

We’re delighted to be recognized as a Niche Player in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant, as we are not like other hyperconverged infrastructure vendors. The edge is distinct from the datacenter, as we are distinct from the leaders in the sector.
